About Me
Welcome to Learn Lowder Tutoring! I am originally from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania (a little town right next to Hershey). I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University at Albany in upstate New York, where I played four years of Division 1 softball. After graduating, I moved down to Winston-Salem, and accepted a job at Salem College where I coached softball and got my Master's in the Art of Teaching. I began teaching the summer after receiving my master's degree. Learn Lowder Tutoring started after 3 years in the classroom.

My favorite part of teaching is connecting with and forming relationships with students, while meeting their needs through fun and engaging activities. Tutoring creates an opportunity for me to apply my teaching skills in a one-on-one or small group environment, helping me target children's needs with greater accuracy.
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
"Not your typical teenage tutor."
K. R.
"In this day and age you truly get what you pay for. So glad we went with Lauren!"
S.A.
Lauren brings years of teaching experience along with a master's degree. We couldn't be happier with the results.
C. A.
As a mother, I could not have asked for a more devoted tutor to work with my child. My daughter has a hard time opening up to new people sometimes and she absolutely loved her from day one. Mrs. Lowder is so amazing and taught her in ways that made it so easy for my child to learn. I would recommend her to ANYONE and EVERYONE!"

Tutoring Options
One on One Sessions:
I am licensed in the area of K-6 education. In my classroom, I have worked with children of all abilities, including those that have IEP's and receive EC services.
Each tutoring session is tailored to meet your child's needs. Sessions are typically held in 30, 45, or 60 minute increments.

Group sessions or "pods" can be arranged upon request
Subjects
I offer regular, personalized tutoring in Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies for grades K-6.
COVID-19: Sanitizer is required upon entry and departure of the classroom (I have some available for students to use). My space and materials are disinfected before and after each session and we are taking all proper precautions.
Location
Sessions are held at my in-home classroom, located near Calvary Church off of Peace Haven & Country Club. This space contains all the resources your child needs. I also find that kiddos focus much better and get more work done outside of their own home!
